Data DiagnosticA data quality audit in 1 to 2 weeks

Data Diagnostic is a fixed-price data quality audit for UK businesses that make, move and sell products. It costs £1,995 and takes 1 to 2 weeks from the kick-off meeting. You leave with a plain-English report: what is clean, what is missing, what to fix first and what good looks like for a business like yours.

The findings come as a written report, a presentation or both, whichever suits the people who will act on them. The scope is agreed in a short discovery call before we start, so the price does not move. The report is written to hand straight to whoever does the work, whether that is us, your own team or another supplier.

Why start with the data

Research published in MIT Sloan Management Review puts the cost of bad data at 15% to 25% of revenue for most companies. The Data Diagnostic shows where your data stands, so you can decide what is worth fixing first.

We work with the data, systems and processes at the heart of businesses like yours. For TWC, we combine more than 1,000 daily data feeds, and for Caterforce we match products from 190 suppliers. That is why the diagnostic takes 1 to 2 weeks rather than a quarter. We know what product, price and sales data looks like in your sector, so we spend the time on your data rather than on learning the ground.

What's included

What's included

A discovery call to agree which systems and questions to look at, then a kick-off meeting to start the work. A review of the data in those systems: what is clean, what is missing and how well the systems agree with each other. A plain-English written report, a presentation or both, setting out what to fix, in the order it is worth fixing, and what good looks like for a business like yours. A call to walk you through it.

Your questions

How much does a data quality audit cost?

£1,995, fixed. We agree the scope with you in a short discovery call before we start, so the price does not change once the work begins. There is no charge for the call.

How long does it take?

1 to 2 weeks from the kick-off meeting, depending on the scope. We agree the scope and the kick-off date in the discovery call, and the report and walkthrough come at the end. Nothing runs on past two weeks.

What do you need from us?

A list of the systems you want us to look at, and sample exports from them, such as your product data. Everything else we cover in the discovery call, including the questions you wish your data could answer. We work with the systems you already have, whatever state the data is in.

What does the report cover?

What is clean, what is missing and how well your systems agree, then what to fix first, in the order it is worth fixing. It ends with what good looks like for a business like yours. It comes as a written report, a presentation or both, in plain English, so the people who do the fixing can act on it.

Who owns the report?

You do. It is written so you can hand it to whoever does the work, with or without us, and it is yours to share with your board, your IT team or another supplier.

What happens after the diagnostic?

You decide. Some businesses fix the data with their own team, and others ask us to do it. Some move on to a Working Proof, a fixed-price sprint for £1,995 that builds an idea on something real from your business in 1 to 2 weeks.

Proof

For TWC, we cleanse and match 2.5 million products a month from more than 1,000 daily data feeds. See the case study.

For Caterforce, a foodservice buying group, AI matches 95% of products from 190 suppliers automatically, so each member and supplier keeps its own product codes. See the case study.
